Sentinel Rack-Mount Instrument

The Qualis Audio SENTINEL is intended to be controlled over a network connection from a standard Javascript enabled browser. However, some of the settings are only accessible from the front panel, principally those relating to network operation. The menu and setting information is displayed on a two-line backlit LCD display. The upper line in the display normally shows the selection title. The second line can show one or more available settings. The default display shows the current date and time from the Sentinel internal clock on Line 1 and the Sentinel's IP address on Line 2.

Several buttons and a knob are used to navigate the menu and make entries. These have back-lit labels to identify their function. However, the label is only lit when the button is functional. If button is currently inoperative its backlight will be off. The function of these is summarized in the table below.

This silences an active audible alarm warning. When an alarm is silenced this indicator will turn off.

When an alarm occurs this indicator lights, including the number of the active alarm. If more than one alarm is active the digit will cycle through the active alarms, displaying each for approximately one second. This will remain lit for the duration of all alarms, whether or not they have been silenced.
